How do you read the first Slovene book? The booklet Discover Trubar’s Spiritual Treasure is a short workbook that guides the reader through the main ideas of Trubar’s Catechism.
It starts from Trubar’s greatest wish, written in the first lines of the book: “For all Slovenes I ask grace, peace, mercy and the true knowledge of God through Jesus Christ.” Each of these words gets its own chapter.
- Grace is receiving what we have not deserved – like the thief on the cross in Luke’s Gospel.
- Peace means peace with God, inner peace and peace with other people, like the Hebrew word shalom.
Each theme comes with questions and blank lines for your own answers. That makes the booklet good for reading on your own, for group discussion, youth meetings or lessons.
The booklet was published in Slovene, English, German and Esperanto.
